15.4.2008.
Promotion of the novel for children and youth Kineski zvončići was
organized at the Velika Gorica city-hall, at 7pm. The publisher is
Biblioteka Albatros. Main
editor is Drago Bukovec. Book cover design Mato Lovric.Participants: Sonja
Smolec, author;&nbsp; Darko Japelj, actor; Nan Xy, schoolgirl
from elementary school Jurja Habdelića; Željka Kapel, teacher of music
art from elementary school Jurja Habdelića; Mate Lovrić, book cover
design author and Drago Bukovec, editor. Book were represented
by:
Grad Velika Gorica, TV Velika Gorica,
Vjesnik, Večernji list, Reporter,
RTL Radio,
Radio Velika Gorica,
Moderna vremena,
Književnost,
Culturnet,

and many other news papers, web sites and TV.
29.5. 2008. I was reading my poetry at the KUD Kustošija Zagreb. It
was a very pleasant evening.

As a member of Spark I was reading my poetry on the International festival
Cest is D'best
thanks to our hosts Kraljevi ulice, (who participated May 24th, 2008 at
Eurosong,
Belgrade), and Gordana Makar, Radio Martin presenter.
16.10.2008. Thanks to cooperation of the Croatian Association of Writers for
Children and Young People and the library, I was invited as a guest writer in
the
Children's Library
M-2, Medvescak, Zagreb. In the comfortable place,
having fun and conversation, I presented my books for children, and they
surprised me with a dance and song.

During the
Month of Croatian Book
the library Stribor from Rijeka was my a very kind host. Many thanks to
all kids an librarians for the great hospitality, especialy to Missis Verena
Tibljaš. I represented them my book Kineski zvončići, novel for children
and youth.
24.10.2008. It was my special pleasure to be a guest in the beautiful
lybrary
Drenova, during the
Month of Croatian Book.
In the pleasant atmosphere I talked about my book
Kineski zvončići, novel for children and youth.to primary school children.
Also we talked about the theme and I answered to their questions: how to write a
book, from the very firtst idea to the printed or electronic version.&nbsp;

09.12.2008. The exhibition Jedrenjaci, dr. Mladena Proštenika, was
held in galeryi U predvorju, Mihanovićeva 12, Zagreb, I was reading my
poetry dedecated to sea, ships and sailors.
This exquiste exhibition, is higly recomended to visit, will be possible to see
until January 16.2009.
11.02.2009.
I was invited to read my poetry at the opening ceremony of the Croatian
society of painters
exhibition, at the home for elderly and sick
St. Franjo,
Odra, near Zagreb.
14.02.2009. I was invited to attend at Marija Bistrica an evening of poetry,
and the announcement ceremony of competition winners in the honor and memory of
the tragically dead, young poetess,
Željka Boc. 242 poems were sent to the event and 41 of them were chosen and
published in the almanach of love poetry Hod se nastavlja (Continue of
the journey). My poem Umijeće ljubavi is published there as well.
18.03.2009. I read my poetry at the festive promotion of Valentina Vukman’s
book of poetry, Zatajena, organized by the Cultural Society Spark,
Zatajena, at the Galženica Cultural Centre.
21.03.2009. I read my poetry at the festive Anniversary of the Cultural
Society Buševec, at Buševec.
02.04.2009.
I hosted a literary evening at the
Economic and
birotechnik
high school, Split. Many thanks to professors
Elvira Dragan and Vera Komlen, who
organized this meeting, and to TV Split which attended and recorded this
event.
12.05.2009.
Once again I was invited to read my poetry at the opening ceremony of the
Croatian society of painters
exhibition, at the home for elderly and sick
St. Franjo,
Odra, near Zagreb.
19.05.2009.
During the festival Goričke večeri I took part at a Round Table
discussion, having as theme The August Šenoa Days; the discussion focused
on the time called Šenoa time, the political and cultural situation, Ljudevit
Gaj’s language reform and foreign languages influence. At the end of a
presentation, I talked about and explained the theme of his novel - Branka.
Sanda Kulier and FA Turopolje participated with their songs in this
cultural event.
20.05.2009. Goričke večeri festival - acting Art Society;, reading
August Šenoa’s poem - Budi svoj. Unfortunately, due to bad weather
conditions and some minor technical problems, it wasn’t possible to organize
this event as planned on the
Cultural Center’s terrace
(with lighted torches and crinoline dresses) and the event was relocated to the
main Cultural Centre’s stage. Sanda Kulier and FA Turopolje participated
once more and contributed their singing talent to the event. Same as Neven
Dužević, piano and Zvonko Knežević, guitar. The event was recorded by
the TV center.
21.05.2009. Poetical marathon - Sesvete.
22.5.2009.
I was invited to be a guest of primary school
Gračani.
I spent a wonderful time due to the pupils of first, second and third
class as well as their teachers.
03.10.2009.
I was invited as guest
speaker in the Public Center Dubranec, where I read as well my poetry
(together with other Spark members). I am thankful to&nbsp;Plemenita
oćina Turopolje, for their kind invitation and for hosting the event
28.10.2009.
I started to work in The center for creative work, Zagreb, Tkalciceva 59,
as director and author, with a group of young artists/actors, preparing the play
Vila u vrtu patuljaka - The fairy in the gnomes' garden. The premiere
will take place in Velika Gorica, on the Spark society premises. The first
public performance is planned for Zagreb, at
Dom sportova,
December, 1st, from 3 to 7 pm. There will be three sequential performances, for
the several thousands of visitors expected. During December, weather conditions
allowing, there will be several performances at the open place not far from the
center for creative work, in the children's park, Tkalciceva street, Zagreb.
31.05.2010.
I was invited as a guest writer in the
Children's Library M2, Medvescak 71, Zagreb. In the comfortable place,
having fun and conversation, I presented my books for children, Djevojčica s
ružičastim naočalama (The Girl with Pink Glasses). I red them
some parts from the book and then in a very comfortable atmosphere they
surprised me with a lot of interesting and wise questions.
I will try to continue posting all events related to
my literary activity. There are just so many of them that it is pretty...
hard to do it :)
